Sheep Tracks/Tracts

This project brings together of the worlds of theology, ecology and art/poetry. The highlands are an evolving landscape, complex, precarious, unpredictable – transient.

We are interested in the ways that sheep contribute to the ‘making’ of the landscape. Our fieldwork involves ‘walking’ in the footsteps of hefted sheep on the Treshnish Sheep Farm, which is located at the North end of the Isle of Mull. As we walked we collected mapping data which was then interpreted through drawing, video and text.
